Miniature Schnauzer prices & grooming times

£65 covers a maintained pet groom on a coat kept on a regular cycle — body clipped, with the beard, brows and legs scissored to shape.

Understanding the Miniature Schnauzer coat

Miniature Schnauzers have a wiry topcoat with a softer undercoat, plus longer furnishings on the beard, eyebrows and legs. The body coat keeps growing and needs regular trimming, and the furnishings tangle if they are left too long. Most pet Schnauzers are clipped on the body with the head and legs scissored to shape. Hand stripping is a specialist technique and is only offered where appropriate for the coat.

Hair that keeps growing rather than shedding out, so it mats without regular clipping and scissor work. These breeds need a full groom on a strict cycle. That puts Miniature Schnauzers on our Signature Full Groom package.

Built for Miniature Schnauzers

Best for: Schnauzers on a 6–8 week cycle, with the beard and leg furnishings combed through at home.

Not suited to: Long gaps between grooms. Furnishings that are left too long can mat and may need taking shorter.

Miniature Schnauzer grooming questions

How often should a Miniature Schnauzer be groomed?

Around every 6–8 weeks keeps the outline tidy and the furnishings manageable. Combing the beard and legs at home between visits helps prevent tangles.

Do you hand strip Schnauzers?

Most pet Schnauzers are clipped. Hand stripping is a specialist, slower technique and is only suitable for some coats, so please ask before booking.
