Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes carry the thickest undercoat of any breed we groom. When the coat blows, hair lifts out in sheets and it takes sustained high-velocity drying to clear it — a brush alone barely touches it. Malamutes additionally hold a heavy guard coat that traps moisture if it is not dried right through to the skin.
Huskies and Malamutes are groomed on our Signature Bath & Style package, typically every 6–8 weeks plus an extra visit during each seasonal blow. Every session is one-to-one in our fully equipped mobile van parked outside your home — no other dogs, no cages, and no car journey. We cover Glasgow, Paisley, Newton Mearns, Clydebank and every area on our service map.
Typically 2.5–3 hours. Most of that time is drying and de-shedding — the undercoat has to be blown out fully rather than rushed, otherwise packed hair stays against the skin and causes irritation.
Yes, and far more effectively. A full professional blow-out removes loose undercoat at the root, which cuts household shedding dramatically for weeks. Clipping only shortens the hair that is already shedding.
Yes. Our XL walk-in van parks outside your home and has a low-entry step and a full-size table, so there is no lifting a heavy dog in or out of a car.
