Gentle, supported handling for a long-backed breed, with coat care matched to smooth or long hair.

Smooth Dachshunds have a short, close coat that sheds lightly and needs a good bath, dry and brush. Long-haired Dachshunds have silky feathering on the ears, chest, legs and tail that tangles if it is not brushed through. Whatever the coat, Dachshunds are handled with their long back supported and are never lifted awkwardly.
Single-layer coats that shed fine hair year round. No haircut needed — a deep bath, blow dry and thorough brush out does the work. That puts Dachshunds on our Signature Bath & Brush package.
Best for: Smooth Dachshunds on a 6–8 week bath cycle, and long-haired Dachshunds on a 6–8 week tidy.
Not suited to: Rushed handling. Dachshunds are groomed at a steady pace with their back supported and breaks as needed.
Bath & Brush — every 6–8 weeks — Bath, dry, brush-out and hygiene tidy, with feathering tidied on long-haired coats. See also add-ons & extras.

We groom Dachshunds across Glasgow, Paisley, Newton Mearns, Clydebank and every area on our service map.
They do not need a haircut, but a regular bath, brush-out, nail trim and ear clean keeps the coat and skin in good condition.
We support the chest and hindquarters whenever the dog is moved and avoid awkward lifting or twisting. Sessions go at your dog's pace.
Long-haired coats need more drying, brushing and feathering work. A long-haired groom starts at £50 and typically takes around 60 minutes, compared with £40 and around 30 minutes for a smooth coat.
