What You Actually Need to Provide for a Mobile Dog Grooming Visit

One of the most common questions we hear from first-time clients is whether they need to supply water or electricity for their dog's mobile grooming appointment. The short answer is usually no. Our mobile grooming van is fully self-contained with its own warm water supply, onboard heating, and battery power, meaning we can groom completely off-grid when needed.

Water Supply

Our van carries a generous fresh water tank that is refilled before every appointment. The water is heated to a comfortable temperature for your dog's bath. You do not need to run a hose or provide any water access. We bring everything we need to deliver a full spa-quality bath and rinse.

Electricity

While our van can operate independently, we will often ask to plug into an outdoor socket if one is available. This helps us run our professional dryers at full power and keeps our onboard batteries topped up. We bring our own extension lead and will only ever plug in with your permission. If no outdoor socket is available, we can still complete the groom using onboard power.

Parking and Access

All we need is a safe, flat place to park — ideally your driveway. If you live in a flat, tenement, or have limited parking, just let us know when booking and we will work out the best arrangement. We have groomed dogs in all sorts of settings and are happy to adapt.

What About Flats and Tenements?

If you live in a flat or tenement, you are not excluded from mobile grooming. Many of our clients in Shawlands, Pollokshields, and other Glasgow South Side areas live in tenements. We simply need a safe place to park nearby — a quiet side street, residents' parking bay, or shared driveway all work well. Let us know your situation when booking and we will confirm whether we can accommodate you.

Do I Need to Be Home?

We prefer an adult to be present at the start and end of the session to hand over and collect the dog. You do not need to supervise or stay outside during the groom itself. Many clients use the time to relax, run errands, or work from home while we take care of everything.
